One of the most colorful NYC events is the Mermaid Parade, celebrating the beginning of summer in Coney Island. The Mermaid Parade march on Surf Avenue at Coney Island every year, on the first Saturday closest to the Summer solstice, June 21st. The 2020 Coney Island Mermaid Parade will be held on Saturday, June 20, at 1 pm.
