One of the best summer activities in NYC is Movie Night at Bryant Park, but if you want to make the most of it here are a few things you need to know.

1. If you want to get a great spot for the movie you should arrive a few minutes before 5 pm. At 5 pm the lawn is open to the public and people run with their blankets to get a good spot in front of the screen. They also run to grab one of the presents left by the movie sponsors on the lawn. If you’ll be quick enough you’ll be able to get them both.

2. At 6 pm, the Netflix booth starts to distribute free popcorn. It’s one per person and if you’ll get there around 6 pm it will take you less then 10 minutes to get your box. There are also a few tents that giveaway free drinks so look around for them.

3. There are two photo opportunities at Bryant Park Movie Night. One is the swing with the flowers and another one of a TV series. You can get a print of your photo and also a copy will be sent to your email. More details below.

4. After the trivia questions, when the movie starts people get up and start to dance. It’s the famous Bryant Park Movie Night Dance.
