One of the world’s biggest New Year’s celebrations is the ball drop ceremony in Times square. Every year millions of people tune in to watch the performers, confetti, and the ball drop, lighting up the numbers of the new year. Little did we know, that after more than 100 years of public celebrations, the 2022 party will be significantly different than the year before.
Times Square is back to celebrating the new year, with the crowd. The streets leading to the Square are going to be closed and monitored by the NYPD. Your location will be based on the time you show up. The earlier you arrive. the better spot you’ll have. And remember, once you are in you can’t leave without losing your spot. You can’t even go to the restrooms. You can find my visual documentation of the celebrations on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
