My absolute favorite NYC parade is the Village Halloween Parade, celebrating Halloween in the most spectacular each year at the end of October. The 46th annual Halloween Parade in 2019 was the last one in the city and it was led by Grand Marshall, Zohra The Giant Spider (which usually stays in the Jefferson Market Library tower,). The 2020 parade was cancelled due to the pandemic. The parade usually runs up Sixth Ave from Spring St to 16th St in Manhattan every year, at the end of October, from 7 pm to 11 pm. The parade route is running on 6th Avenue, from Spring Street and up to 16th Street. Those in costume are welcome to join the parade on 6th Avenue at Canal Street between 6:30 pm and 9:00 p.m. For more details and registration go to the official Village Halloween Parade website, marching on the streets of NYC since 1973.
